Forge Slicer — Privacy Policy
Who This Covers
This policy applies to Forge, an on-device 3D printing slicer for iPhone published by Jent Innovations. Other Jent Innovations apps are covered by their respective policies.
What We Collect
Nothing. Forge does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or store any personal information. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising framework, and no remote account system. The application contains no networking code.
What Stays on Your Device
Forge executes 100% locally on your iPhone hardware. The following data is kept solely in private sandboxed storage and never transmitted:
- 3D model files you import (.stl) and your local model library
- Model position, orientation, scaling, and rotation data
- Printer profiles, slicing presets, layer heights, and material parameters
- Light/dark appearance preferences
- Generated machine G-code files
Deleting Forge cleanly removes all stored files. No cloud duplicates exist.
Files and STL Processing
When you open an STL file in Forge, it is processed in local memory. Exported G-code is handed directly to the iOS system share sheet (AirDrop, Files, or USB storage) under your explicit control.
Third-Party Components
Forge incorporates the open-source Clipper2 geometry library (Boost Software License 1.0), which executes locally without network access.
